Protected Designation of Origin
Italian haunches from heavy pork of the Po Valley, salted and aged in the Beretta plant of Langhirano, according to the strict regulations of the Consorzio. The unique micro-climate, the brackish air that come sweetened by the olive trees of the Val Magra and enriched by the chestnut trees of the hills of Parma, produces fragrantly sweet slices, in the best tradition of this famous dry cured ham.
The I Gran Re Parma Ham of the Fratelli Beretta is characterised by a pleasantly soft texture.
